ABOUT BAND

Big Wave Band is a band founded in Rovinj in 1996 by vocalist Tihomir Prugovečki (Tihi), guitarist Luciano Venier (Čano), drummer Goran Salvi (Gogi) and bassist Sandro Salvi.

Over the years members have changed: Marko Kalčić (Kale - bass), Radovan Čikić (Čiko - drums), Sandi Orbanić (Ruski - drums) to the present-day band members: Tihi, Čano, Mauro Jurman (Jumo - bass guitar) and Sandi Brajnović (drums).

Known as a rock cover band, Big Wave Band performs mostly a foreign rock repertoire, as well as songs of some Croatian rocker bands, such as Atomsko sklonište, Urban, Let 3, Majke, etc.

They perform in various bars and pubs around the Istrian peninsula (Lucky Bar (Rovinj Village), Max Magnus (Pazin), X (Labin), Rock Cafe (Pula), Mimoza (Pula), and on various biker events such as MC Indians, MC Twin Horn, MK Speed Tribe, MK Fluminense, itd.

The band often performs outside Istria: Spunk (Zagreb), Arca Fiumana (Rijeka) and Istrijada (Rijeka).

Prone to improvisation, their every concert is different and unique, and their excellence can be expressed and experienced only at a "live" performance.
